(It's hard to be a poet when one is so excited about a new idea.)
So, what is all this about talking to children while they sleep?
A lot of mothers and grandmothers do it, I am told.
A couple of wives I know do it to explain things to their husbands when discord sets in and they start crying before they can explain their side.
Another said she does it when her husband staggers home drunk and she doesn't want to nag but talks to him about his behavior while he's snoring softly on the couch.
Seems to work, they say.
I guess we need to take this concept further. There are certainly a lot of children and even adults who might benefit from the practice.
